Breathless Love by KG Fletcher

I should start this review by saying that I'm not always the biggest fan of rockstar/musician romances but this synopsis had me intrigued.

We're following Hank, who dreams of becoming a famous country artist but the rest of his band doesn't share his ambitions. So he's sulking and back to working on the family farm. One night he's at a concert and meets Ella Mae, who happens to be the sister of his idol Travis Miller, and a famous songwriter herself. She invites Hank to join them on tour to see what the famous musician life is like and it continues from there. The reason I enjoyed this book is because the romance between Hank and Ella Mae is so wholesome and isn't plagued with so many of the toxic traits of other musician romances, namely all of the alcohol/drugs and sex with random fans/groupies. Hank is very sweet and smitten with Ella Mae, as she is with him. This book is the third in a series, and while I haven't read any of the other book in the series, I'm intrigued to do so because I really loved all of the family members we were introduced to (who I'm assuming are the characters of the other books).

This book was so fun because it was like getting a peek behind the curtain at what it might actually be like to write and perform in Nashville and on the road. I think if you enjoy music, particularly country music, you should give this a try.

That being said, there are some heavy topics dealt with in this book, including alcohol/substance abuse and the deaths of loved ones, so have your tissues ready!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
